Jaws closed in on mid-air as the alpha landed. Opening his jaws and standing straight, Saei couldn't help but laugh a little. "Nice move. Let's see if you can do that again." Crouching low, he jumped to the left. Upon landing, Saei turned and leaped to the right at Rival. His aim was at her paws. If his small plan had worked, the sounds of the leaves would have tricked her. If not, it was to plan B. Attakc until one couldn't attack any more.

Rival jumped once again, this time to her left. She did not want to be anywhere near the male, not until she could find and track him. A sharp stab of pain from her right paw told her that Saei's attack had made contact and that she had been too slow. No sound of hurt left her, however. A plan had formed in her mind.
Saei's scent was all over the area. Even when she found a strong portion of it, she could not be scertain it was him. Along with sound, she needed smell to find him properly. A more noticable trail.
As she landed, she felt a trickle of blood forming on her toes. She could smell her own warm blood. Acting quickly, she reached out with her right arm, fast enough to send droplets of blood flying in Saei's direction. With luck, a few would hit him. She would know when the her scent trail moved.

The iron tast of blood tipped his fangs. Saei ran his tongue over them, licking off the crimson colored liquid. Slowly, he started cirlcing her again, a small grin on his maw and tail limp behind him. He had drew first blood. By the looks of it, the attack didn't matter to the female. It was just fine with him. Not like he cared anyway.
Scent of blood filled Saei's nostrils. Wolf blood was nothing compared to dog blood. If anything, dog blood smelt nastier. he was taken by surprise when her paw flew out towards him. He was far enough away that her claws didn't hit him, but the blood did. A few droplettes landed on his nose, making the male wrinkle it in disgust. the rest landed somewhere on his pelt. It didn't matter to him.
Saei growled, rushing in head on. He ducked low once he reached her, swinging to the left and nipping at her neck fur.

Rival grinned when a wave of her own blood scent came rushing at her. Her plan had worked. A waft of the trail changed direction with the sound of crunching dirt maintaining cource. Blood had landed somewhere on his head as well. Perfect!
Sidestepping once, she averted her body just enough to avoid phisical contact, but she could feel his fangs biting and ripping at her fur. That pain guided her own actions. She turned her head sharply and aimed a bit to the back of his neck.

There was no way to adviod her oncoming attack that came to the male's mind. Fangs dug into the back of his neck. Bi-colored ears went back against his skull, lips tenbling as a growl came. He bared his teeth, not even bothering to try to get her teeth out of his neck as he jolted his whole body forward, aiming a bite at her front leg. She was doing well, but how well would she fare against an army of wolves? this was only one hotheadded Alpha male.

Rival couldn't help but smile when her attack made contact. Any other time this would get her bannished. Not many wolves would be able to attack an Alpha and live to tell about it. Still... there was no telling the future. He could have an army ready to attack her any time.
No time to think about that now. He was trying to force his way forward. Mind working at the speed of light, she figured out that his aim was to her leg. Instead of letting this happen, she pulled up on his neck, attempting to lift him off his feet and over her head. If that didn't work, she didn't know if she could shake him off her leg.

Saei stopped his attack as she pulled up on his neck, jaws opening in a mute yelp. He could feel his paws beginning to lift from the ground. A growl left him through the pain as he glared at Rival.
"Enough!" Saei snarled, his ears back as far as they could go as he ordered the end of the battle. If anyone else had been around to whitness this, Saei would have either attacked the female or attacked them. Depended on the indevidual who had seen it.

At the Alpha's word, she let go. The black wolf backed away, tail lowered in submission. Even if she might have won, he was still the Alpha and she was just a lowly wanderer. There was no possible way she would show dominance here. She lowered her head and pulled her ears back, averting her eyes right to the ground.
She dare not speak either. No telling how angry this Alpha could get. Not that it mattered, but she did not want to lower her chances of joining this pack.

Giving his head a good shake, Saei sat on the ground. This Rival proved to be a good fighter. Maybe she was right to ask for the position of Warrior. Still, it was his decision, not anyone elses. Silver eyes looked at the female before he made his decision. The fight seemed short, but even so, it was a good one. He drew first blood and she won in the end.
Letting out a small sigh, Saei stood. "In the events that took place previously, you have proven to be a good fighter. Even against an alpha it ddin't seem like you held back. you can have either the rank of warrior like you wanted or take palce as a subordinate." Saei knew what she would choose. Why else would she ask for a rank jsut to deny it and get a lower one?

Rival lifted her head when the Alpha sighed. He did not sound angry. With this in mind, she listened to his words. She could choose? So she was accepted apparently... even so, she felt compelled to mess with his mind just a little bit. She wanted to delve deeper into his personality, see what he was really like.
"That is for an Alpha to decide," she said, shaking her head, "Do you need more warriors or would you rather have me serve as another rank?"

So she was smart. Saei wasn't one to be ordered around. Expecially when it came to ranks. She was lucky he had allowed her to choose instead of just saying she was given a rank. If he had a choice it would be Subordiate for her. However, he would need to think about this. Warriors were always needed within the pack, expecially to train the pups for the rank. Just one wouldn't cut it.
"Do you really want me to chose?" Saei asked. He could easily mess with her mind and give her a rank she had not asked for instead. Alphas word was law after all. Without waiting for an answer he continued. "You will have rank of Spy then." he stood, stretching his legs out in front of him before turning towards the center of the territory. A smirk was on his tail, tail waving slightly behind him. A joke yes. He wantd to see how she would react.

Ah, a tricky one. Rival grinned as she lifted her head and followed the sound of his paw steps. "You would rank a newcommer as a spy? That's a risky decision, my friend. But it is not for me to say." She pulled her ears back once more, not knowing what his reaction would be. She had not told him what to do, simply gave her oppinion, but still, she was not an advisor. Would he tollerate her words?

"True." Saei stopped walkingm one paw off the ground as he slightly turned his head towards her. "Then I guess Warrior would be a better rank." She hadn't flipped out. Good. Saei smirked, setting his paw on the ground. To Saei, this was just for his ammusement. Didn't matter if she chose ne rank or the other to him as lnog as the dogs went down and he had his pack.

Rival smiled at his conclusion and kept moving. Keeping her head low, she walked passed him and pulled her ears closed to her skull. She did not want to upset him at all. A few weeks time here and maybe she would feel more comfortable around him, but at present, she would not take chances.
"So what should I know about the land? I don't want to run into any suprises."

The land? Oh yeah. She was new here. Saei picked up his pace until he was a few inches a head of her at least. No one was about to get in front of him or show him up. No one was. The fight was a fluke. It had to be. He was the alpha after all.
"Not much. Rocky. Trees. Hills. Foxes are welcomed. Dogs are not. And my sister tends to visit every now and then. If you scent hre or anything, let me know."
